Testimonials: Highly Humorous Leadership

Reviews of previous books
"David Jacobson gives several reasons why you should look for humor around you, as well as sharing his own mishaps to make this a fun read. 7 1/2 Habits to Help You Become More Humorous, Happier, and Healthier is one of those books you read a little from and then have to share it with someone. The author makes you want to make a difference in other peoples' lives by lifting burdens and being an encouragement. I love that he shares the correct way to joke without being offensive and what to do if others joke in a rude or crude way.
7 1/2 Habits to Help You Become More Humorous, Happier, and Healthier is a book that allows you to read a few pages, but you will be anxious to return to. David Jacobson has a difficult job that involves trauma, but he hunts for those moments that will brighten his day and the gloom that shadows his occupation. If he can laugh and have joy, you can too. This book would also make a wonderful gift to those whom need some cheering."

"71/2 Habits To Help You Become More Humorous, Happier & Healthier by David Jacobson. This book as the title says is about looking at life in a fun way, the author who is the former chief of Social Work of Phoenix VA assisted in improving the mental health system, and I am sure that to do that he would have need a lot of different points of view being humor one of the most plausible to use. This book is like a manual where you can find something like a checklist, but not a real checklist, of how we should look to life events to make of them the better instead of the worst, and for our author, the best is by being humorous he made me laugh more than once with his ideas and I think the mind can be taken to any place that you want to take it only with discipline so what better than being humorous as a discipline. Amazing ideas with the way to practice them!"

"This has to be the first guide on depression that has the reader chuckling during the entire book. Creative adaptations in the format will have you hooked on using this guide on both a personal and professional level. While the text is incredibly funny, Jacobson makes a serious and compelling case for exploring how a sense of humor can and should be used to treat mental illness. This unique guide not only includes invaluable tools for exploring new ways to treat depression, it is seriously funny. It has my highest recommendation for therapists and for anyone interested exploring joyful ways to treat depression."
